Can I record system audio (not just microphone)?
On Chrome 105+, yes, when sharing a tab, check 'Share tab audio'. Window/screen capture includes system audio on Windows/macOS with the appropriate permission.
Does the popup need to stay open while recording?
No. DeskTricks uses an offscreen document to handle encoding, so you can close the popup and continue working. Stop from the side panel or toolbar.
Maximum recording length?
No hard limit. Limited only by disk space. A 10-minute 1080p recording is typically 50-100MB.
